Actually, yeah, I have. [ She's been having amazing dreams lately and while that's unsettling in and of itself, she can't complain about the much needed, uninterrupted beauty sleep. ] I couldn't tell you what changed, though, if you asked.

How about you? Have you been staying out of trouble?

[ it's the weirdly good sleep people have been reporting getting that definitely brings him around for this, since she's the first person he thought of when the realization hit. while glad she can sleep again, he's also wondering if something more might be up... ]

S'good to hear. This place is enough of a bitch without extra problems, y'know.

[ he sounds somewhat amused when she asks. ] Tryin', tryin'. Hard to though, when trouble seems to come to me.

[ She'd be lying if she said she wasn't wondering the same thing but, stupid as it might be, she's going to enjoy the nightmare free nights while she can. ]

Should I ask what kind of trouble it is this time around?

Don't know if any trouble from home has followed you here, but that sorta stuff. It's over and done with now though.

I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed. Though I managed to finally get some pills from medical that seem to work -- [ most of the time ] -- so it's not like I'll be completely fucked if things change.

[ There's a slight pause on her end - trouble, technically, hadn't come but she'd gotten some things this past jump that were unsettling. Nice to have, sure, but not necessarily nice reminders of what happened back there. ] Glad you got it sorted, at least.

You did? Hey, that's something. [ no need to resort back to the booze attempts now, huh? but have a bit of a pause. ] I kinda failed you on the whole helping through Cas thing-- sorry about that.

Yeah, now's just waitin' for whatever comes next, right?

Yeah, I did. [ She still drinks sometimes, but it's less about passing out now than it had been. And even though he can't see it, October shakes her head at that part about Cas. ] Don't worry about it, Dean. It wasn't your problem to help fix, anyway.

Here's hoping it doesn't suck as much as most things here. [ She's not holding her breath. ]

[ she can't see it, but he's nodding a bit. it might not be his problem, but he hates what she has to go through despite that, and hates that he can't help. ] Right then.

[ laugh. ] I'd drink to that.

[ She lets out a quiet huff and, because it's been so long since the passing out on him incident: ] That's actually not a half bad idea. Feel like grabbing a drink or five with me sometime? Sooner rather than later?

Always sooner rather than later. [ mostly because there isn't a day when he doesn't drink. and secondly because they don't know when the next ~fun thing~ will come up. ]

Any chance you're free now?

Lucky for you I have exactly free October and drinks shaped space in my busy schedule. [ busy schedule his ass. ]

How convenient. [ No one up here has a busy schedule (though Kirk did) but she's grinning anyway. ] Am I coming to you, or are you coming here? Or are we meeting on middle ground?
