[ October sounds a little hesitant, though definitely interested. ]

It's uh... Well, it sounds kind of dumb, but I know it's not a coincidence. I got a bunch of kids' toys in my locker, sports stuff; a toy grifball, a toy gravity hammer, that kind of thing. Then down at the bottom of the pile of stuff there was a toy grenade.

Yeah, I know it's not like I got a grenade identical to the one that blew up in my face but, it's a little too specific, you know? The helmet showing up, that was unnerving, but this... It's like someone's taunting me. I don't know if that makes sense or not.

No, it makes perfect sense, and it's not exactly comforting but I'm pretty sure it's entirely possible. This place... [ Well. He should know about as well as she does how bad this place can get.

There's a slight pause where she frowns at her comm and mentally curses the ship. ] Is there anything I can do?

Nothing specific. I just... Well, it helped to tell somebody. Since I knew you'd be interested and all. D already put it away for me, in his room like he did with the helmet.

That's good. And for the record, I'm here for more than just the "the ship gave me weird shit" type of conversation. I may not look it, but I am actually a pretty decent listener.
